Overview

The Basic Emergency Care Course (BEC) is a joint WHO/ICRC/IFEM learning programme for first contact health workers who care for patients with acute illness or injury. BEC teaches a systematic approach to the initial assessment and management of time-sensitive conditions where early intervention saves lives.


Round 2 courses will be delivered in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands Province. RECSI is supporting PHAs and local clinicians in the delivery of BEC training to build a cohort of registered facilitators and master trainers across a number of provinces in PNG.

Activity Details

This round will include:

1 x BEC Hybrid Provider Course (2 days)

1 x BEC ToT Course (1 day hybrid)

1 x BEC Classic Provider Course (4 days) 


Participant selection for this course has been finalised in collaboration with relevant NDoH/PHA authorities.
