Overview

This online module provides healthcare professionals with essential knowledge and practical strategies to enhance healthcare access and inclusion for people of all genders and those with disabilities.


Through completing this module, learners will

  1. Have basic knowledge of current concepts of disability and gender from social model and rights-based perspectives;

  2. Have a basic knowledge of what is meant by disability inclusion and gender equity;

  3. Be aware of key types of barriers experienced by women, girls, gender and sexually diverse people and people with disabilities to accessing health care services; and

  4. Understand the roles and responsibilities of healthcare workers to ensure their service is inclusive of women, girls, people of diverse genders, and people with disabilities.


'This is an online module that should take approximately 40 minutes to complete. At the completion of this module, you will receive a certificate that can be used for CPD requirements.


The module incorporates videos that have been developed with, and features people with lived experiences across the Pacific, as well as interactive learning content such as knowledge tests and links to extra resources.
