Chris Guy
Clinical Lead - Critical Care
Dr Chris Guy is an intensive care specialist at Alfred Health. With a strong commitment to global health, Chris has worked across multiple international settings, including Malawi, Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste, and Yemen. His dedication to improving global health outcomes is exemplified through his work with Médecins Sans Frontières, where he completed two missions to Yemen in 2019.
Chris holds a Master of Public Health, specialising in Disaster Health and Humanitarian Assistance, which complements his extensive clinical experience. He completed his intensive care specialist training in 2023 and is currently undertaking subspecialist training in critical care echocardiography at Alfred Health. Chris’s focus on global health is also evident in his role as a faculty member for the University of Papua New Guinea's Diploma of Intensive Care Medicine, where he contributes to critical care education and capacity building.
In addition to his work at Alfred Health, Chris is an intensive care physician at Northern Health and Bendigo Health. His academic background includes undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Commerce and a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Care Medicine, demonstrating his broad skill set.
